This.

Just renewed for the umpteenth year running after blowing out Carole Nash when they suddenly felt like tripling my premium for no reason.
F/comp, 3000 miles, agreed value, garaged, Thatcham Cat 1, TS postcode (not the best)... £115.

God knows what the justification is for the widely ranging premiums, I know they say post code and all that st but quotes vary so much even like for like as well.

My 23 year old is now on the insurance as of today. Admiral multi car classic insurance, 400 sovs. Lots of rules and regulations and excesses, but not bad when you consider the young age and that no other insurance will even consider at an affordable price.

My turn! £110 with Carol Nash, breakdown and European cover, 3k annual mileage (used to be 5k but other toys now intervene).

Adrian Flux were not on the best form, I have some sympathy for their call handler, a stressful job.

Edit: approaching middle age (cough), reasonable postcode.

Been with a number of brokers over the years, but the common factor in recent times appears to be the underwriters "KGM".
Currently paying £99 plus a few pence for 3k mileage and a postcode not under siege.

I thought I got a rather good deal..

With Admiral but have a mulitcar policy - the wedge and my Celica..
15000 miles for celica, 4000 for the wedge - full NC, both fully comp and insured for business use ( not that i'd use the wedge for business) and the wedge has agreed value of 5k on a classic policy..

they wanted £270 for the celica on its own ( which I would have payed, thought to be reasonable quote). Adding the wedge to policy took the quote to ..................

wait for it........

£306 !!!!

I was rather happy with that smile

Next renewal though, will be wanting more miles for the wedge.. not sure how this will affect quote..

I just renewed my wedge insurance and after trying Lancaster's, Footman James,Adrian Flux etc, I finished up with £109 comprehensive including breakdown cover and agreed valuation with Carole Nash. Bear in mind that does not include competition or track use and I do not do a lot of miles, but still pretty good I think!

In the end, aviva sent it to the underwriters and topped admirals quote. 1 year of insurance cost £290 for me

Not bad for a 23 year old doing 8000 miles per year!
