Just a heads up, there's a V reg Tasmin on e-bay that looks very nice. Must be one of the first. I have no link with the sale, I just thought someone on here might be interested.

Well yes it’s lot of money when we talk of a Wedge, but look what other classics are making, I know what I’d rather have.

One day everyone is going to wake up and realise that TVR only made a hundred odd of these cars and want one. At that point none of us is going to be able to afford one!

I remember being able to take my pick of Vixens not that long ago, I can’t afford a restoration project these days.

It's certainly true that classic car prices have been shooting up over the last few years. But, will it last for ever? What goes up must come down. It's only a matter of time before it reaches peak point, and then comes the big crash when everyone will panick and try to off load their investments. At that point a lot of investors may burn their fingers. The big increase classics crashing in value the most. I have a feeling that day is not too far away. I believe the cracks are already showing. More and more classic cars are ending up in public auctions. Every day now I'm seeing adverts for classic cars in auctions. Classic car auctioneering seems to be expanding. Surely if the cars were selling sufficiently as private sales, there would be no need for auctions and their exorbitant fees. Think about it. It's not a question of if, it's a question of when.

Some of the recent higher priced cars have been taking an age to sell and this is quite a price!

There have been a few fantastic early cars of late, this is the third car of this type to come up of late, can't be too many more to come out of the woodwork.

Can't wait to see where this one goes?

Looks the spit of the one i chose for the artist commissioned to paint a watercolour of an early FHC Tasmin signed by Oliver Winterbottom for BBWF 2013..Still a very sore subject!...
In fact I'm sure it is as there is a TVR sticker above the petrol filler cap in both pics...

Pricey is good - it always makes me feel better about what I paid for mine. wink

On a serious note though, these things have to be worth close on this type of money now if it is as good as the ad says. Yes classics have been going up of late but my OWN opinion is that the Wedges still aren't there.

That's a nice looking FHC! Still too cheap these extremely rare TVRs. Hope he will see the money.
I already have one, though. cloud9

Is your one the black and Gold livery one that got bought up a year or so back by a dealer in Germany?

Do you have any pictures you could post?

I always like to see these cars?

Cheers Al

No, that's someone else's car. You'll find a picture of my 350i FHC on my profile.
