stripping out the boot last night. Found this written on the front wall of the boot:

Guessing the boys were of on holiday after that shift? It was a Friday in 1984.

I think every car has some artwork on it?

What about the door cards? I think I recall something on one of them too in mine.

I remember someone telling me they had found a comment about the then current boss of TVR when they removed some carpeting! I really couldn't repeat what was written!

David Beckam's Cerbera had a few choice remarks written on it biggrin

My 390SE is signed by the three guys who laid-up the bodyshell, under the nose, about where the TVR badge is. You have to be a contortionist to see the autographs though!

Aye, mine has the last 3 digits of the chassis number scribbled on the back of most of the panels, down to the scrap of hardboard that reinforces the gearlever gaiter.

Just taken the headlamps out of mine and Dave (or Dane) 436 has autographed the inside of both pods.

Hi Terence, not sure how much of my Wedge you took apart previously? Did you ever spot anything underneath? Apart from the passenger door card I've not taken much trim apart, so far. Are you coming to the BBWF this year? Would be good to catch up. Cheers Keith

Hi Keith I do remember seeing something on one of the panels but I can't for the life of me remember where on the car it was. I did have most of the carpets out and seats out so it may have been under them or inside the sills or headlamp pods perhaps as I also had these off at some point.

Yes I am hoping to get to BBWF. I think my new wedge sounds very nearly as good as yours (which was the best sounding V8 I have ever owned)

This was on Delilahs..(280i) rear O/S trim when i took the vinyl off...I painted over it and when i told Oliver Winterbottom at BBWF 2012 he just put his hand on his forehead and shook his head....Whoops!!
Probably why he wouldn't sign my glovebox lid....hehe

Found last three digits of the chassis number on several parts. Also one that hadn't the right number...
And a few dates. Seems it has been built starting in June '86 and finished in August (date on the boot lid).
Haven't taken it apart completely yet, so perhaps some surprises to come in the future.

Excellent. So a Rolls Royce Carmargue looks exactly like a TVR employee's drawing of a Cerbera. Go figure.
