420SE For Sale

That is a beauty. If I din't have my Wedge I would have bought that. Bright red is one of my favourite colours, it's in good shape, it's rare and it's powerful. What else can a man ask for?
PS. There is another Wedge, bright red 400SE on PH also looks amazing.

Presume you mean Glens car sold, no surprise, in fact I was just thinking if I hadn't just done a ruck of work mine over winter and now trying to get a cost for re spraying the back; I would be in there.
The 400se looks a good buy as well, when are we going to get the valuations right on these things, at the moment there seems to be bargains or 15k plus examples.

Just looked at the 400se for sale. Only 5,000 miles in 10 years. 500 miles per year. Can't see the point in owning a car if you are hardly going to use it.
I've covered 6,000 miles in 10 months. I can do 500 miles in a weekend
Cars don't like not being used, they seem to have more problems than a well used one.

Exactly..Although it will be a higher maintenance car..Check your hub nuts..UJ's and wheel bearings more often..Basically its like having an MOT every two months....ZigaI've covered 6,000 miles in 10 months. I can do 500 miles in a weekend

Hi, perhaps they're being bought as investments? I've noticed that TR7's prices are firming up. Again the "Wedge Era" cars, TVR, Lotus and TVR's are attracting attention. Which will leave me with a decision, when my 2.8i is running, whether to spend out on a complete respray £2/£3k? Value at present of a 2.8i Wedge £4/£6k depending on condition? Cheers, John C.
Id say it depends on how bad it is...I have a scabby rear end...Which reminds me i must stop using newspaper...Anyway...Mines a street Wedge hoe-ass mofo so I'm not too bothered about the peeling lacquer..I will get it done eventually but driving it is better than looking at it in my book and if prices are on the up then i better get saving so that i can cash it in later..Im hoping its going to be my pension...Although if its anything like it is today for OAP's then ill probably be better off using it as my tomb.....
Hi again Zig' Sorry to hear about your "rear end" Mine's not at a drivable state yet but progressing, engine to be fitted soon. The body work is not too bad, just conclusive to 14 years storage. Scraps, odd cracks etc. It was to be a retirement project but I'm still working and want to finish it to drive before all my faculties fail. Its colour is basic white so might even have a go at repairing/painting the body myself. Patience not being my strong point. Cheers J C.
