Before you get too excited no I didn't find Christina Aguelera with baby oil all over her...

I was wondering where this ended up, or , rather, how long it would take to come out. It came out of the sump with my oil change! A free bottle of trumpet glue at BBWF to the first person to guess what it is?

Well done Bobby - yeah it fell out 2 years ago then went down the hole in the cylinder head towards the sump. No harm done though.

The trumpet glue is good stuff - I got a job lot on the flea and tried it, it has stuck mine well, so I'm just sharing the love.

I don't think it would work too well on rubber though I will probably use blue hylowotsit to glue that back on, after roughing up the outer edges a bit.

Maybe not - why bother, the thing seals anyway without it.
