Would like some help at BBWF
Discussion
Morning Guys..
My windscreen washers have stopped working - it seems there is no power is getting to the washer pump. I have looked over all connections ( that i can see ) and it all seems to be in order.. this leads me to think its a fuse / relay problem but I dont know where to start from this side of things..
Just wondering if someone wouldn't mind assisting at BBWF to try and fault find / resolve the issue as at the moment i'm using a plastic squeegy bottle with water over the top of the windscreen !!!
I have had some , , , and mind you from people who have spotted me washing the windscreen this way whislt I have been haha..
Cheers.

Hi Dom,
Have you checked you are getting 12v feeding the pump ?
I had this problem a couple of days ago and it was a broken pump.
If I make it to the fest (my 390 is having new track rod ends today but I still have this permanent missfire problem) I will bring my multimeter if you like ?
Regards

Hi Ian.
No, haven't checked the pump for a 12v supply.
I do have a multimeter which lives in the 350i boot - will have a check and see.
I haven't been too worried about it as it isn't having an adverse effect on driving.. however. I know its an MOT Failure which is slowly approaching.
Hope to see you at the fest.
Cheers

Mmmm......Could rig one of those up to a jet on the rear bumper so that when you get tailgating tw@ts you can squirt a thin oily mix at their windscreens...Not enough to cause a major accident but just a little milky for a few seconds...Thats enough to scare the shyte out of them...The added bonus is that they won't see you doing it.Sireatalot said:

Dom did I spot you coming back from the airfield spraying your windscreen from a pop bottle? (A technique that I have used too...)
Yes you did - 1st time I tried it whilst we were on the duel carrigeway - Myself and Malc got more water on us than the windscreen .2nd time was whilst stopped at lights - it worked that time .. hehe

He did but we fitted a new pump when we got back to Ettington so now all fixed.
Hi Keith.Have been meaning to post up a massive thanks to you for helping to sort the washer pump out..
It did turn out that the 12v feed was ok but the pump was knackered. Luckily enough, I had another one with me which sorted the problem..
Now I'm missing using the water bottle.... doesn't seem quite the same adventure just pressing a button on the stalk.
haha..
Thanks again..
