Are there two different styles of dizzy cap in use?

I have just received a rotor arm that's a lot taller on top of the dizzy spindle (a good 5-6mm taller) so the standard cap won't go on. Is there a taller cap and if so are they OK to fit on the SD1 engine?

Adam, isn't it simpler just to put the right rota arm in ? Rather than mess with the cap. I've not seen talker caps for V8's, but others may have knowledge.
I've not come across taller rotas either, where did it come from?

it was ebay item 381207298494 now I look at the listing again it's mainly mentioning P6's, so I might have a look at my old P6 bits to see what the dizzy cap looks like. There is space under the bonnet so no biggy - if it fits. I also have a matching pair coming - arm and cap.

Apparently there are 3 types for the RV8..I know one of them is rated at a different KW then the other two..I had one that was causing me problems..I take it you have pushed it home properly....The rotor arm not the Wedge...
