Hi Ian,
thought I would go right to the font of all knowledge. bowWould you know the angle of the seat of a bleed nipple, the base angle which the nipple binds to when tight. Am looking to go from std M7 to an M8 which will stop future nipples from breaking so easy. Am I right in thinking that the seat is 120deg and the nipple is 90deg. And the new M8 will be 1.25mm pitch? ......................ta like

Hey up Mark: actually I can't answer any of that other than to agree the standard pitch for an M8 thread is 1.25mm as you say, however I don't know if that applies to Metric bleed nipples, they could be fine pitch at 1mm or something... sorry!
I hadn't thought about the seat and nipple tip angles being different but it would probably make for better sealing if they were.

M8 nipples are available off-the-shelf in either 1.00mm or 1.25mm pitch...
