Well after 3 weeks to let the paint settle / harden and as recommended by the painter, it was time to get some Meguires wax on the Gredge and some elbow grease.

As was said the effect was a glimpse of the deeper shine to come, the key areas are the bonnet and boot due to the size and flat panels ..... well impressed:

The heat shield fitted and the engine bay cleaned and tidied up :

Just the carpets to do and I will be happy!

There are loads of options when it comes to this...

1. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=...

Or

2. http://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&a...

Look good and in fact No.2 could solve some of the other heat problems that was talked about on the other post...
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

On Delilah i had a woven fibreglass sheet with alloy foil over it...It was stuck on with heat resistant glue..AF178

There are loads of other products out there..Dynamat are good also.

I just have the "Wickes" special alloy foil tape on mine but as with any of these products you will need to remove the old one and all the grease and crap that it leaves behind..smile
