Well Glen sold the Humbug in less than 2 weeks, the yellow 350i that was on flea has just sold, the gold metallic Wedge on the TVR-CC advertised for £7500 has sold and the orange 280i project has also sold. Is it my imagination or is there some renewed interest in owning a slice or should that be Wedge of TVR?

Wedges have been on a steady increase in price over the last few years. I know, because I've changed a few Weges myself. Unfortunately, they haven't increased at the level of other classic cars. Now ivestors are realising that the Wedge is infact a good car and a good bet. Consequently sales are on the increase as are the prices. The sad thing when this happens, is that they tend to fall in the hands of investors and traders rather than the enthusiasts. So, if there are any genuine Wedge enthusiasts out there, now is the time to get in there and buy something decent while there is still a choice at an affordable price. Cut that greedy little middleman out. Surely, there can't be many decent, manual, convertable V8 sportscars of this quality for so little money.

Glen, I know of an ash green 350i in a barn near Bedford that may well be looking for a new home. The owner is sat on the fence as to what to do with it. It runs but is not taxed or MOT'd.

Yes there are 2 Tasmins on the bay at the moment a blue 350i for 7,000 and a white 280i for 13.000 both in very good condition but will the sellers get this sort of money for them only time will tell. The white cars reg is A118 FLW my A-reg 280i is 113 FLW and i have a photo taken at a classic car show in 1997 of a silver 280i with the reg A116 FLW anyone any idea where these registrations come from or if there are any more FLWs out there.

Mark this is not the one on the TVRCC forum. As far as I am aware this one is still tucked up in its barn. The land owner as part of his farm also has a section of disused war time runway and the Wedge and many other cars are let out at weekends for spirited races up the tarmac. It's located up the road from my head office at Milton Earnest.

Can I jump on and say I'm after a wedge as well. I'm after a 'project' though, so no beauty queens. Have missed out on some ebay ones recently, looking up to £1.5k mark. Chassis needs to be solid, 350 preferred but 280 also ok.

Cheers John

Hi John,
How much of a project are you after ?
I have a 350i that needs a fair bit of work doing to it.
I bought it to do up but bought a 350SE for the right money so am using that.
How much work do you want to do ?

What I would love is the black 350SE that was at the fest.....it was unusual as it was a K reg

If that owner who I was chatting too reads this can I tempt you :-)

Ps my private plate is K plate and I'd never seen a K plate wedge before

If you want to buy a 350SE, buy the red No 9 that's on sale now. It's highly tuned and fitted with a V8 Developments engine. I can only describe the performance as blistering. I used to own that car and have never driven anything as quick. Judging by it's present condition, it can't be much short of immaculate. I do not know or have contact with the present owner.

My Friend has a Red DHC 280i S1 I think as its black wiring with fuses on inner wing.
I done a bit of work on it mainly to get everything working, but still need a little bit of TLC spent, mainly cosmetic stuff that takes ages but easy to do, but not really cost effective to pay someone to do for you.

I also fixed up his 400SE that he's now using so is looking to sell the 280i. The chassis is very good, hood's good buy plastic is a little discoloured. paint if fair, but front end could do with a blow over. it's going in for a MOT next week, but it should pass, if not any work to get it to pass will be done.
Can post pic's if anyone is interested. be open to offers.
