On the Broads for a family holiday. Came into Wroxham to moor for the evening and saw a stunning white SE at a huge thatched house?

Anyone on here?

Karl.

Couldn't get a close look. I could just see it gleaming in the sun shine at the side of the house.

Greetings,
The picture shows 'Lilly', a special 400SE (previously owned by Mark Howarth) at the TVR Car Club 50th birthday bash at The Shuttleworth Collection, Old Warden Park, Biggleswade, Beds, held over the 17th-19th July this year. I have not been to Norfolk yet so it will be interesting to know which SE you saw. And yes, it was recently advertised in Pistonheads.

I used to have a 350SE Limited Edition (No.12 of 25 built) almost from new, in mica midnight blue, cream leather with blue piping and burr walnut dash etc - fabulous car, never let me down and glorious fun for the three years I owned her. Bitterly regretted selling her.

Once bitten by the TVR 'bug' there's no cure!! ---- I had to have another one asap, except it took another 22 years before I could.

I wanted a Mk3 Chimaera 4.5 to go touring, found several but timing wrong &/or finances not in place. Then along came 'Lilly' & I had to have her, so my goal is to keep her 'forever' and constantly improve and protect her with sunny day driving only.

I am considering putting a deposit on the new Les Edgar generation TVR but only want a convertible version which is unlikely to be available before 2017/18.

So, unless I see a stunning 4.5 or 5 litre Mk3 Chimaera in the ads next year I will commission Ian at Sportmotive to build me a 'new' one using his 'Evolution' chassis with an appropriate Chevy LS engine with every mod con & upgrade going - likely to be in excess of £50k, but wow, what a car. I already own a set of Oz Racing multi/cross spoke alloy wheels for it.

'Lilly' has many mods / improvements which make her a very special Wedge such as a recent 4.6 litre V8 Developments Ltd engine with 'Megasquirt' system (24-27+MPG), T5 gearbox, Nitron coilover suspension, swirl pot cooling (no overheating at all), six pot AP Racing caliper brakes up front, AP Racing clutch and flywheel, stainless exhaust system and a stereo that almost drowns the exhaust!!

She is in original paint and interior with dash refurbished to gloss piano black finish. Absolutely fabulous, fabulous car - a real hoot to drive and gets admiring comments and looks from old & young alike --- just have to watch out for 'Plod' & their cameras!!

Thanks for your interest.

It was actually a 450SE. Never got chance to talk to the owner though!
