Hi mate...There is what is essentially a bicycle cable on an adjuster..Again from a push bike and the other end is fixed with a screw or bolt on the window channel..I found that setting the window to about 4-5mm below where you want the window to close...Get the cable tight and you should be able to then close the window to where it should be...If you set it to where you want it first of all then it might go up 4-5mm too much..And you will be faffing around for ages trying to get it right...

I have some cables with the adjuster on them which makes life easier, I can send you a couple but would like a donation of £5 to the BBWF fund which will also cover postage...Cheers...Ziga

Well i can see TVR's thinking behind it...A brake cable from a push bike is steel and is normally coated with a plastic/wax for outdoor uses and it was probably British...They probably could of welded a stop on the cross mechanism or motor gear but that would of probably rusted by now and there would of been many more broken side window horrors...So yes you are right my friend...Very Hi-tech...biggrin

Originally on the car's I've seen, had a solid wire at the lock side with a clap on stop and a loop on the window. some parts are from push bikes. but the flex wire works just as well.
The front side of the window is stopped by the front side runner.

also teeth on are bent to stop the window going down too much, this is the same way on the SD1

Mine (2.8) had an adjuster which looked like it came off an old style carb throttle adjuster - the ones you used to get on old Strombergs and SUs, but I guess it could also be an old bike one. Perhaps that's where BL got them first .....

Just saying this in case a scrappers might also work for bits .....

I found these to be a blessing...They were donated at a fest a couple of years ago..I think..

Zip clips

Just thread the cable through the fitting in the rail or lower door...I think i removed my original adjuster and just used the hole...Then thread through the hole on the other side of the unit to lock the loop in place...Adjustment is via the sliders..I found it best to have the window a few mm lower than required then as the switch is operated the slack is taken up and the window sits where it needs to..Simples...
