Air Filter (wash or replace)???

When people suggest spraying WD40 around a running engine air intake system to detect air leaks (the RPM rises) I never hear the same concerns...

I use the K&N filter oil, sprayed over the filter using a used but cleaned "fry lite" aerosol thingy. Works a treat, and with help from fry lite me and the missus have both lost over 2 stone. Win, win as they say.
