Whats with all the SEAC bashing...not all SEAC's were born equal and some have evolved...

We all know not to beleave the figures given out by the factory for all models, way higher than they are in reality but for the few of us that have played and changed parts and upgraded from the stone age to 21st century electronics.

If your car shows lot numbers on a rolling road there is probably some thing wrong and need looking at, but lets face it in genral driving we are not using all of the revs all the time like a track car and they all feel fairly quick as they are lighter than most modern cars so we get a greater perception of speed.

With a high spec engine like how NCK built for the 420 SEAC, with proper control over ignition and fueling it can reach the 300bhp mark like mine is but it is not cheep getting to that magical figure that TVR claimed cry, and on the flapper system like Glen had on his 420SE and I had on the SEAC before changing it all, plus on the same rollers at Shrewsbury with the same 2 chaps doing the tuning I got the same figure at Glens in 2008 so it is possible to get good power from a wedge but it needs properly seen to that knows how to get the best from the antique set up and make it all work properly.

I would take most of the NCK engines if healthy will make more power the for the same size engine in a Chimp or Griff as its been stated they were mostly standard RR engines with a cam change and little tuning, so plenty or potential in them plus the next gen ecu was a lot better.

There is one thing we can all agree on I hope is the wedge is probably the best sounding TVR built and one of the most fun too.
Just a wee walk round my SEAC while she warms up https://youtu.be/zV0DrJ_j-NQ I have a lot of induction noise hehe

Cheers

Anyone know who bought it.. Maybe the new owner will stop by and say hello? smile

Was really tempted myself, but I don't have the space..plus 2 SEACs may have been a bit greedy..
