Hi Peeps....Well another year has nearly gone so the wheels are being put into motion for next years Big Bad Wedge Fest...Initially there was going to be a lot of driving involved but I'm not sure this would of been such a good idea so i think a nice relaxing event is needed, I would rather not drag the entire contents of the Wedgefest in my Wedge each year so next year i want to enjoy it with you instead of running round like a headless chicken....As much as i enjoy it...

So i have called upon Topcats racing to host the main day, The day will start at around 11am and run to about 4pm, The rolling road, Auto-valet..BHP shootout ..DB challenge..Concourse & Rat Wedge will all be held there as well as some other fun challenges to do...I won't forget them this time...hehe

There will be food available and this event will be open to others but the focus is on the Wedge.

The race team will be there and i will update you on all the details once i have drawn up the official plan.

So the date is set for the hottest weekend this country has ever seen which is also marked in your Wedge calendar for 2016...Which is the weekend of the 8th -10th July 2016.

We will be staying at Wroxhall abbey in Warwickshire and then driving out to Topcats racing on the Saturday morning in a convoy, I would encourage people if they can to come for the Friday night until Sunday late morning and enjoy the weekend more, There will be some pampering for the ladies or gents if they want it available...We will have a whole court to ourselves...And wait for it...Our own bar....bounce....party

Once we return from Topcats then we will enjoy an evening of wining and dining together..Dancing however is compulsory this year...(Adam), Im not sure what we will be doing for entertainment yet but i have a plan...And it might involve cake....smile

The Abbey is a beautiful place
https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=...

Room bookings will come through me but more on that later....So start digging out the back of the man cave for any auto-jumble..And be on the look out for any unwanted christmas pressies..."Well its the thought that counts"...So there you have the outline, If you have any suggestions then as usual please add them...

I should also mention that by some freaky coincidence there is another TVR event almost identical to the fest happening a couple of months later but this event is for predominantly T - Cars..However both events are worth supporting if you are local to warwickshire.

Hope you guys are happy with the plan so far....Happy Christmas and a Wedgetastic new year...Ziga

Sorry Ziggy, won't be able to make it this year as that's the same weekend as LeMans classic.

Sounds like a great idea though so good luck!

Greetings from Puerto Varas in South Chile. Sounds good to me Mark. Doubt I can make the Friday as well so maybe an early start on the Saturday. Feliz Navidad a todo.

'that's the same weekend as LeMans classic'

Same for me sadly as having missed this year's BBWF I was hoping to come in 2016 to gather lots of tips and tricks for my restoration!!

Have a good one anyway.

Sounds just the ticket Zig, something different too...not that there was anything wrong with Ettington! wink
You can never predict the weather, but July (as you say, it's bound to clash with something as there's so much going on) should give us a fighting chance of sunshine!
All being well, I will be there in the Sausage Egg And Chips.

Merry Christmas all.

Hi Peeps...Im glad that you all approve..Sorry that it clashes with other stuff but as said its unavoidable..Topcats have agreed for us to have a FREE ramp inspection of your Wedge by their engineers...Im looking into the entertainment for you...And i will be meeting with Wroxhall and Topcats in the new year to put the finer details in place.

Im also looking into new challenges for you to do on the day...Its a bit of fun...You might get a little bit wet...Not much...Just a little...

There might also be a "Pop-up" challenge...However I'm not giving you forewarning on this one...Im sure you will figure it out....smash...hehe

Also where the auto-jumble is concerned i would like to firm up the parts on offer to the people who are interested so that you don't have to drag stuff along with you that you might be taking home again.

One of the reasons for not having all of the event at where we stay next year is partly to give me a chance to relax and take a bit more in...smile

So keep an eye on any updates and as said if you can think of anything that would add a fun factor to the event then please say as its for you at the end of the day.

Thanks

Ziga

Hi Tony...Thanks for the heads up, I will aim to get there in the coming weeks and negotiate some more discounts and sort out the breakfast's as i was made aware that they are not always included...

I have always enjoy the way that Ettington lays out the breakfasts...However there are bound to be some things that are different..

Cheers

I stayed there just before Xmas to see what it was like - generally very nice. The rooms are excellent as is the manor itself.

The dinner & dinner staff were very high class/friendly, but the breakfast was a bit of a let down compared to the quality of
the evening meal.

I have some pictures I might post when I get a chance of the Courtyard and facilities
