I don't want to put any of you into any trouble of answering some sensible questions about the event. I get the message and now fully understand that I'm not wanted there. That is very kind of you Mark. Thanks for the kind words, only I'd hate to be accused of poisoning people's minds for asking a few simple questiones about the event, incidently, none of which has been answered. I'm the sort of person that plans everything ahead meticulously and hence ask questions. I don't make promises I can't keep. In my line of business I can't afford to be unreliable, with a reputation to maintain. Maybe I expect too much of other people, but that's just the way I am. I have always backed the BBWF and anyting to do with Wedges in any way I can. Then, when a group of people gang up on you, try to bully you, and call you names and accuse you of all sorts it's not nice.
These forums were provided to discuss our passion for the Wedge. It was not deigned for arguements or confrontations. I'm not a vindictive person but right now, my passion for the BBWF is almost zero and I don't feel likely attending. There is still time and I may feel differently in a few weeks time, but for now, in view of what has gone on, I have to say I'm out.

Thanks Tony...I meant what i said though and it would be lovely to see you and your good lady again.
I really do value and appreciate peoples concerns and input as regards to the venue but you need a little more faith in me as i would not want to let anyone down in any aspect of the event.
Unfortunately my recent attempts to visit both the Abbey and Topcats has been thwarted by a couple of minor setbacks but rest assured i will be going there very soon and will be addressing these concerns and putting peoples fears at ease.
I do not eat shyte food and would not expect the people i call my friends to either...Just to make you feel better my room at the Abbey is the smallest attic room they have with a tiny window that you can barely see out of...But as long as its clean and comfortable then I'm okay...My main concern is that the rest of you are catered for first.
If the Abbey can serve a breakfast on par with the Hot Rod Diner we got to then we are all well sorted...

Tony, give it a rest. You're right, PH wasn't intended for arguments, but you've done your best to disregard that concept. Clearly, you have a disruptive agenda, as your "friend" did a couple of years ago, although I can't think why.
In any event, he failed to spoil the general enjoyment of BBWF back then, and you will also fail to spoil this years BBWF.

I will say no more on the matter as we are going round in circles. From here on in we'll let people decide for themselves. For your information, it takes two to argue. It's very sad that you haven't realised (or perhaps chosen to ignore), that by pursuing this disruptive agenda, you have created a very real risk that the amount raised through this BBWF for charitable causes will be diminished.
Now can you PLEASE give it a rest for that reason, if no other. You know it's the right thing to do. No response needed.

I had a very nice American friend called Mercedes many years ago... another life....Anyway yes, 1. sun, 2. fun, 3. reliable TVR's and 4. alcohol in the evening - sounds like a plan. I'm a little suspect regarding item 3 though. 350i radiator sprung a leak so that's tomorrows job pulling it out and sending it off for a well deserved re-core. M22 brass ring for brazing on to rad and "proper" TVR Griffith rad fan switch already bought in advance to convert from current otter switch.

Thats the way to go mate...I had the otter switch opening welded up on mine...I still need to fit a fan switch thermo coupling though...mrzigazaga said:

Hi Peeps...Its not often that i quote myself...But this has now been extended to everyone and there may even be another surprise...(No not me running naked through the hotel...What a horrible thought)...Although i do sleepwalk...Anyway it gives me great pleasure to say that we are nearly at the 40 room marker...Very very impressive...I still have another block of rooms on hold so ...."DONT PANIC...DONT PANIC"
Looks like the convoy to Topcats is going to be impressive.....
Just an update also for those who are arriving on the Saturday.....
The booking in times for Wroxall are 3pm and booking out 11am, However there is a possibility that our rooms may be ready early..
I have asked for a back up plan so if you are arriving early on the Saturday 9th July 2016 and have just driven a long way in the blistering hot 32 degree sunshine that we are going to have then you can leave your luggage at the hotel and use their showers in the SPA area to freshen up.
If you are going straight to Topcats then I'm not sure they have a facility but i will find out....If its just a matter of cooling down then hey...Ill bring my sprayer....
It would be amazing if we have the whole place to ourselves....They will have to re-name it for the weekend to Wedge Abbey...
...Just hope they have enough beer!Ziga
