Looks well taken care of - I like the 4.2 upgrade - would be good to know details. Chassis restoration - doesn't specifically say outriggers, so would need clarifying. Rear wheels do look like they might be 8.5", which would be nice. No front under spoiler, but easily rectified. Does appear to be good value.

I may even sell Poppy to buy this.......I like it....
Go on Zig. Get in there. This looks like a beauty and above all it's bright red just like mine. I've already rang this guy but he hasn't got back to me yet. I too considered it as it's the right colour and should have more power than mine, but I'll take a step back and let a fellow wedger go for it. I can tell you now, it won't hang around long. Soon as this guy surfaces, it'll be gone. So if you want it Mark, you have to be quick off the mark : and get over there sharpish. Don't forget to HPI it as it doesn't say much on the matter, but it is certainly a pleasure to the eye. Good luck to all intrested.Tony. TCB.
Hi all
Its not often a 400 comes up for sale within my budget and from the pics and description it looks pretty good and usually I'd be banging the guys front door down. Unfortunately I find myself in the same position as when I was looking at smash's 390 earlier this year in that the money I need to purchase the car is tied up in my current 350i. The chances of me being able to sell mine quickly enough to buy this 400 ... About 0 I reckon
Think I'm going to have to sell my 350 in the spring then sit on the money until I can find myself a 400, that could mean being wedgless through the summer which doesn't bear thinking about....
Anyway back to this car.
The number plate is familiar but I cant place where from - maybe it was up for sale last year as suggested maybe I've seen it at the wedgefest ?? Or maybe I've seen it online somewhere else ?? Not sure. A bit of due diligence will soon sort out the provenance
If its as described with no hidden horrors then someone's going to be getting a billy bargain (zig ???)
Good luck to all you prospective purchasers
Ron

I don't know why people put these adverts in when they don't even reply to their messages. I left this guy a phone message and an email message but no response. Unless of course he's already sold it and even then it would be nice just to call me and say it's gone. Still, I'm not bothered becase for me it might have been an upgrade to something more powerful. The chances are it'll be snapped up by a trader and that wouod be a shame. Still, you never know. We'll wait and see what happens. If it's not taken by a fellow wedger thats known to me, and it's still available, then I'll go gor it.

Unfortunately Ron I'm in the same boat as you...No disposable income to buy now and sell mine later...It may not be an original or perfect Wedge but at that price its a bargain...Even if it needed some work...I hope someone buys it to enjoy instead of just making money on it...
Unfortunately at that price I think its going to attract a few "speculators" who have no interest in the car itself only in the mark up they can put on the price Gassing Station | Wedges | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
