No no no no no no no.

I came really close last year to stratching the 'Wedge Itch' and now there's two almost bob on spec for the Wedge I'd want.

OK. That interior is crying out for a set of Tamora/T350/Sag indicator stalks. Oh, and a smooth bore induction pipe. How about some Grief/Chimp ally hood struts. Plus I haven't had an RV8 TVR yet..........

Step away from the classifieds.

Nothing received. Then again, I don't recall ever having a PM I've sent through the PH system arrive.

Well having now actually paid for him I feel it no longer inappropriate to claim him as mine so can come clean. I am, with many thanks to Andy, the new custodian of G650 PTT due to be picked up on Monday.

I will probably start another thread with numerous possibly inane questions, for example where can I get some 400 boot and sill decals to replace the 420 ones, as like the two previous owners, I think they need to be returned to standard spec.

Thanks

Nick

Well done. Enjoy your new Wedge. I too was in contact with the owner and was considering buying it. I already have one exactly the same colour except the inside is beige on yours, grey and red on mine. Click on my name to see the picture. I was going to buy it for my son as he drives mine at the moment and we share it. In all honesty, much as I like red, I would have prefered a different colour as we already have a bright red and it would have still looked as though we were sharing the same car. I am happy it has gone to a good home and an enthusiast and will be looked after well. Have fun.

Tony. TCB.

Tony thanks for the comments,

The owner said there was someone going to see it on the Saturday I was booked in for Sunday, to be honest though I think the odds / Gods were against you on this one.

1 The MOT runs out on my birthday what better birthday present than to have 12 months MOT on your car each year.

2 I am sure it has a Devon number plate PTT, and Devon garage as the original supplier on the number plate. I remember
my dad having a couple of PTT number plates on his cars in the 70's, and I am a Devonian exiled to the cold North.

3 The number plate PTT means I can name him Pete in memory of my dad.

4 You definitely need one a different colour to avoid confusion in your old age smile

So obviously this car was meant for me wink although I consider myself very very lucky to get it.

Nick

Well done Nick,
i too would have taken a look at that when down in Essex next week, not necessarily to sell my 390 but purely because it looks a great price.

ps; I also got some decals from racegraphics.

Actually it is probably you I owe the biggest thanks to, as without this thread I may well have missed the car as I never thought of looking in the classics section for a wedge.

Everything fell into place in the end even the dealer I had my Griffith with to sell did a deal just before I went to see the car, although I took a bit of a hammering on it. When I say hammering I got what I paid for it 2 years ago, but prices have risen a couple of grand since then. Only I could moan at having an awesome car for 2 years and not loosing money on it.

Still think the wedges are really underrated, lot of car for the money, but this one is hopefully a keeper for now and to enjoy even more in my retirement. I have now saved enough money to retire and live in total luxury until I die, as long as that is next Thursday at 2pm.

Yep, the griffs are heading upwards quickly, actually had one myself a few years ago, even then sold it for a grand more than i paid for it. The wedge will get there one day although not why we tend to buy them.
