280i fuel hoses
Discussion
Thanks guys, a pic would be great Marcus.
Zig, wiring loom goes through a hole high in the passenger footwell then along inside the fender until it emerges through a hole inside the N/S headlamp pod.
I think you're right Andy, does your hose hide behind the chassis rail?
I've put both hoses on the outrigger like the photo on P116 of the Bible (which is how my car was also).
Of course, the primary concern is to protect the hoses from stones thrown up by the front wheel.
There are some rivets at the back of the wheelarch which makes me think there might have been a protective glassfibre panel there, but do you think I can remember??

Blast. I'm sorry, forgot to take the pics. I'll have a dig around and see if i can find some old ones. I'll not be back to the car till next weekend. I'll take sone then if you still need them. Sorry again.
Mines are routed exactly the same as aboveabove, including the protective panel.

Okay interesting. just adding a couple of pics from the bible and of my car to illustrate. I don;t have any such plate so I might run the hoses along the back of the chassis member into the engine bay and maybe put a protective pipe of some sort over them.

Hi Toby
Heres the pics. Sorry for the wait!
This is the outrigger protecting plate behind the wheel, you can just make out the fuel lines.
This is looking down behind the plate, shows the lines running along the chassis, they follow this up into the engine bay.
This is taken from above the filter, the black fuel line comes up from the chassis, behind the coolant hose, and bends round into the filter.
Hope these help. I'll probably be back at the garage tomorrow if you want anymore pics.
Cheers
