Yes, a full restoration by professionals will cost £15+K, so don't pay too much as I've yet to see a SEAC actually make more than £20K.

Yes he arranged the 1994 SEAC day

He is married to his job and did talk about restoring it at one stage

It definitely needs rescuing.

What sort of money is he asking for it ?

Is he asking stupid money ?

It sounds like the present owner knows it's potential finished value.

Where is it located as reading is a big place ?

Sounds like he has no time to fix it up now but also has no interest in selling it.

Perhaps the initial storing of it if better would of saved loads of money and time..?...It saddens me to see rare hand-built British sports cars being treated like this....Its our heritage FFS!!

Just looking at the car - you might be right but under the surface the chassis / interior might be in bad shape and there may be mechanical issues why it was put into long term storage.

There is a man that can tell us how much it would cost to rebuild one of these, as he already has an almost completed project. I would hazard a guess at around 15k excluding labour, as parts are not cheap and have to be specially made in some cases. That is for a PROPER rebuild. Then there is the price of the car itself. In my opinion, this particular car is not worth the punt for commercial purposes. I too think it should be saved, as it's a rare car but it has to be a labour of love by someome with pockets full of £££ and plenty of free time and access to some serious equipment.

Tony. TCB.

That's the one.
Well done Wooly350i.
Line up fellas - Tony will sell it but you will have to contact him yourself and discuss it with him.
Unfortunately, I did not realise the "provenance" of this car and unfortuantely do not have the funds required.
Oh well, I will just have to be satisfied with the Cerbera! 😀😀
I wish Tony good luck with the sale.

Looks like he should advertise it to get the best price given the interest.

It seems like there is loads of people interested in it BUT the location and contact details are been kept a secret.

The gent who owns it will either want to sell it or keep it depending on how much he gets offered.

Any chance of some contact details so it can be saved, as it's a shame that it is just sitting there and being left to rot.

It's probably out of my range from the figures that have been banded around but it is a very rare car.

Lets get it saved, i know Glenn would be down there like a shot !!!!

The guy who shouted was Jim Gamsby, Now in New Zealand. The SEAC Day was at My house in Chartridge Buckinghamshire.

OH ... I also have the entire SEAC data base on cards from the factory as compiled by Jim Gamsby. Its somewhere in my loft with the original SEAC Sales brochure stuff and original dealers price lists. Some rare material.
