First time I met Hotty I'd gone to take a look at a 400SE he was selling as a Cat C or D. For various reasons I decided not to buy it (someone else was mad keen and took it a couple of days later) but while I was there Stephen showed me his 350i that he'd had since the dawn of time but never heard running.
Now he'd got to the stage where he wanted it running it wouldn't bloody start but as it happened I had my trusty injection system splitter box and multimeter with me and in about 5 minutes we found that most of the injectors weren't passing fuel despite being fired properly by the ECU. One by one Stephen clouted the injectors with a screwdriver handle and it went rrr-rrr-rrr-rrr-cough-cough-1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 cylinders
I think the ignition timing was a todger out but with a quick tweak it was away - first time in 15 years if memory serves?
Rover V8s, got to love them

hi Mike,
you have a fantastic chance here with 2 Wedges. If you have a problem on the series 1 you are working on you can prove what part is faulty taking same part from the good car. The big advantage is when you need a break you can go cruising with the Silver Wedge. After return home super Zen to continue with the series 1 knowing you are doing a good job saving a TVR

The 400 was dark blue with factory gold insert wheels, great car but the out riggers were a point of discussion as the previous but one had replaced with a part body lift and in the dark !Now he'd got to the stage where he wanted it running it wouldn't bloody start but as it happened I had my trusty injection system splitter box and multimeter with me and in about 5 minutes we found that most of the injectors weren't passing fuel despite being fired properly by the ECU. I had purchased back from my insurance company after a bit of a issue with another but decided not to restore myself but simply move it on, the guy who bought it made a really great job (topside), seen at a chatsworth gathering.
He moved it on sometime after to a guy that shipped it to New Zealand and i think that became another story.
The 350........Ian i will always remember that day, as special in my memories, even if i no longer own the car.
