please please please could you all stop talking the value of this , my previous wedge , up. I have just this morning emailed the seller....will let y'all know if the 4pot wedge is coming home to se London.
Out of interest did you sell it about this time last year to dealer near Aylesbury? I went to look at it when he had it. I remember it came up on ebay, at which time i was more interested in an élan turbo for some reason, missed out on the élan and by that time didn't have enough time to look at this 200. Few weeks went and then it was back up with the dealer. V8 swayed me in the end, but now I really want the underdog hahaha. Hope you manage to buy it back!Yeah it was sold toa dealer. I spoke to the seller yesterday, nice chap as it goes. I've decided against buying it , not for any other reason than I just wouldn't use it or get the time to at the moment. Whilst it's tatty as mentioned before , it's sound, over the years I had anew rad, clutch, fuel lines put in. And head gasket when I bought it. It will sit in London traffic all day long which is how I used it - back and forth to the city when it was a sunny day. New hood and steering rack will make it more useable in my opinion and I reckon it will pass an not easily enough save for a few bulbs etc. I will hang and get a v8 when the time is right.
Hi,
I'm looking to buy the 200 and have bid on it. I think it's rareaty dictates it should be kept as is and restored albeit it's never going to be that desirable as a TVR drivers car.
To the gentleman that owned it previously, can you tell me all you know about it and when you did what did to it? Aparently it doesn't have much history so it would help me to know what you know about the car?
Thanks in advance

Looks like the seller took it down - got up to 2,000 but all the bids were retracted. http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&...
Have to wonder don't you.
Silly bids from Idiot buyers or dodgy seller. Only buy after you've viewed would be my motto and don't bid if you aren't sure BUT there seems to be so many to55 pots about nowerdays on the likes of the bay.
First thought is that it'll be lacking in power with a pinto BUT you can get some really good figures from that engine with a little bit of work.
Paint needs doing on that car by the look of the photos.

I have to say, when I looked at it last year I classed it as a full restoration - but a very good basis for one. the interior is absolutely shot and the seats were from a chimera and not even bolted down (just wedged with wooden blocks).
you'll notice the evolution of the ebay listings has started to add new pictures of the damage to the bodywork/paint ( not really disclosed in the description) and there is literally one picture of the interior - wouldn't be surprised if buyers turned up and found it a lot worse than it is. Its more of a project - but a running one, with 12 months MOT.
