I've spoken to the guy. He says it needs a lot of work. Chassis etc. Hasn't been used for about 8 years and no MOT. I would have had a look if it was nearer to me but he is 80 miles away. It would suit someone who wants to take a punt on a project. There was already a queue when I rang yesterday.

Close to me so I went to look at it last night. Does need a lot of work even to get an MOT (last was in 2009). If you can do major work yourself it could make sense though.

Can't really comment on the condition of the chassis itself as no ramp to get a proper look underneath. But if you wanted to get to A1 condition as I would, I suspect the most cost effective way to sort the engine/transmission/chassis/suspension/brakes/steering etc. etc. that has been stood for 7 years would be to take the body off. I saw this car last week, my personal view it's a full restoration project. There's a big difference between re-commissioning and restoration.

It's one that once you start fixing the more you discover, I would want to restore it back to A1 condition but price is not right considering how much money is required to restore it properly.

The engine did run sounded OK and didn't smoke.
