If I get Time before BBWF I plan on building a Flapper ECU data Logger, than can then be analysed by a PC, live or data recorded on a run to be analysed later. (currently fitted to the race-car but its a portable unit so can be removed easily.

should be able to tell if all the sensors are working so should help spot some of the common problems very quickly.

at a later Data be nice to add a AFR sensor. but its about £200 for a good kit.
