The way I see it, any Wedge meeting of any type is worthwhile. Speaking for myself, I would like to be there as a spectator if it goes ahead, that's if spectators are allowed at the event.

Sorry. I'm on an inconvenient Continent with my SEAC. Google Maps won't even instruct me to swim from Boston, Massachusetts, as it did long ago.

SEACs aren't much different than any other wedge... That's wholly different from the reactions, interest and experience I've had with mine. It's like claiming Pontiac's GTO wasn't much different than the LeMans. That's true, except for the bits that differ...

Always thank those deep-pocketed TVR nuts who ordered these beasts from the factory - else most of us who have them now - wouldn't. If their current owners want to reacquaint them with each other, like the Shelby Daytonas did recenty, then excellent - everyone else should come and enjoy - whether they drive another wedge, another TVR, or a pumpkin truck.

Well i have read through this thread and for the most of it, bh fest would be a good way discribe it.

I agree we all drive interesting wedges, some like keeping close to the factory, some like to modernise like me and some wedges have more history and some started life as a race cars before becoming road legal.

For me been a SEAC owner for many years im up for the meet next spring as i couldnt make the month of September if that one was the winner and even if i didnt own a SEAC i would still like to go, take photos and enjoy the moment with like minded others.

Im a fan of the wedge fest but back in 2008 the fest was at Blackpool, personally the best place for it. It was a cracking event but not the best turn out but what an atmosphere that event had, the place wasnt to big every one was close togeather and the rev up for Peter Wheelers passing would bring a tear to a glass eye. For me thats what a wedge fest is about. People wanting to get togeather but are linked by a common denominator. A bit like the RNR.

Hi

Just an update for those interested people for those who are not then please look away.

The planned event has been arranged for the weekend of the 27th May 2017 at 10.00 to 11.00 am we are then planning a 90 odd mile drive from the Hotel to the coast and back with a stop of for lunch and more photo sessions on the way.

The event is being based around the Metropole Hotel, Temple St, Llandrindod Wells, LD1 5DY

The map below shows the route we are driving (Marked as Day 1.)

After we return to the Hotel we will then have the usual tyre kicking, then at around 8.00 pm an evening meal in the Hotel.

For those interested we will on the Sunday be taking a drive to a certain new factory site in South Wales and from there to our homes or were ever people want to go!

If anybody wants any more info then please get in contact via the PH message system, the TVRCC message system or on Facebook on : TVR Wedge Owners and Enthusiasts UK.

Thanks for reading this.

Be sure to post up some pics in this thread of all the SEACs lined up after the event. Has anyone got any photos from the 94 meet out of interest?

Admittedly it would be nice to re-create what was done 12 years ago...I personally think if it was at the same venue as in 2004 with all the same cars then that would be something really special...However i didn't see any other model of Wedge on the video...Unless they were parked around the corner?...

Mind you i have the same...Centre console..Dash...Ashtray...Steering wheel..Chassis...Rear lights...Number plate ...Rear bumper...Doors...Handles....Hood and Targa.....Washer bottle...Expansion tank...Brake servo...Master cylinder...Slave cylinder...Brake master....Power steering pump...Windscreen wipers...Fan motor.....Bonnet and boot struts....Mirror pods...Indicators...Boot hinge....Smell....and appeal....So maybe ill come as well but I'm not hiding round any corners!.....

In fairness, the very first post says other TVRs are welcome. As with the BBWF and the S Club Tour no other models are excluded. Its a celebration of a specific model.

Nice pictures, thanks.

It must be possible to get more than 5 of these beasts together this time. No idea how many are on the road in this country still but SEAC pages says 57 were built. I am sure I have seen more SEACs together at BBWF.

I think it's an excellent idea to have a meet up of a certain model, in this instance the SEAC. Maybe in the future someone might arrange a meet up of only 400SE's or 350i's etc. You might say what's the point of having individual models? Well, I think it just makes a change to meet owners of models exactly the same as yours. More to talk about the specific improvements and faults I suppose. Well done for arranging it Andy. Even at the BBWF during the time I used to attend, each different model would be parked up with the same. Makes sense.

LOL - I won't ask as there appear to be enough politics in the wedge forum already wink I can see from the picture what the issue might be.

Great picture though. thumbup That must be the record for the most SEACs assembled in one place. I did pop into the BBWF many moons ago and there was a big line of SEACs, but not that many.

I do not agree with the segregation of wedges into separate meets, otherwise it will become fragmented. IMO the BBWF should be the main event for all wedges and all should be welcome. In the past I have been made to feel welcome turning up in my Griff which is what TVR ownership is all about... I would see no sense in having a separate event for the 400, 430 and 500 Griffs. As a separate venture and in no way undermining the BBWF I think there is definitely milage in getting all the SEACs together whether that be at BBWF or a separate meet as a one off. The SEAC is a very rare and special car so would be nice to see as many as possible in the same place.

Hi Andy

Sorry but I doubt that I will be able to attend but if I do get the beast road worthy and get some miles under its wheels then I will get in touch.

Great venue by the way - we had a wedge Christmas party there a good few years ago.

Geoff Morgan organised the run out in the Elan valley.

Hope all the owners enjoy it.
