Was putting a set of these on the front of the Tasmin and have a question. I'm concerned that they aren't seating evenly between the the chassis and the big washers even when loaded. I believe I have the nylon nut bottomed out on the washers, inner sleeve and double nut on the other side. That nut is slow going and funky to get to to crank on without a lift. The "tie rod" doesn't pass through the chassis perpendicular enough and I'm worried I'll crush one side of each bushing while the other side is still a little loose. Anybody still with me? Maybe that's why the original ones were totally gone! Suggestions, experience, ideas or admonishments?

I put some on mine, just don't to them up too tight I suppose, as they are replacing some bits of sponge, so will be much firmer even when only just done up.

I'm all picturing the original bushings being made by Nerf!

Anybody know of a rubber interchange? I think I'd like it better than the poly.

Didn't know if the tie rod was a standard Granada or Cortina item.
