Hello folks
I know it's a long shot but does anyone have a broken precat speedo or rev counter they are willing to part with. I need a new type speedo made, after fitting a t5 box.The only part they can't duplicate is the needle, I don't want to sacrifice my working speedo for the sake of the needle unless I really have too. Beer tokens waiting.
Thanks in advance
James

Sorry I can't help with the needle but sounds like you've ordered a programmable speedo from Speedy cables??? They look OEM and work with a very wide range of sensors. I personally found a 16 teeth crown wheel had too many pulses for the speedo at high speed and removed half the teeth but may depend on the sensor you're using. Looking at your engine I guess you're not running the standard ECU.
Good Luck
Steve

Thank you for your reply. That is exactly what I am planning if I can find a needle. You have mail.

I do have a faulty pre-cat speedometer somewhere, but I'm afraid I have no idea what happened to it. It was 20 years ago it was replaced with a brand new one, and I kept the old one to just to prove the recorded mileage. I really don't know where it could be. Maybe the company that made them is still in business and can help.

Hi there,

Lucky for you, someone broke the glass on my rev counter while I was refurbishing my dial bezels. It's just cracked, not smashed to smithereens.

I have bought a NOS one as a replacement.

Please let me know if you're interested.
