Gearbox mounts are the next job on the list for the 350SE. I'm a flea bay shopper so what am I looking for?

Normally "lt77 gearbox mount" does the trick but I see none right now, I need one myself...

Nice one guys, looking at it its just a common rubber mount with what looks like M8 studs. found this site that does allsorts of things like that. Maybe diff mounts, that bar from the outrigger to the A frame that nobody knows what to call bushes. mounting bushes with male/female threads that could be easer to fit to the gearbox. well worth a measure up if anybody needs anything in this department.

Don't know if the thread is metric or imperial, best try sticking an M8 bolt in the 'ole to see if it fits.

Also it gave me an idea, I wonder if something like this would be better:

I am thinking if the side presented to the chassis is female, then you stick a bolt through the chassis slot and into the bobbin to fasten. This will be a lot easier to line up when replacing the engine with much less chance of ripping the bobbin because the protruding male thread didn't meet each slot.

Also it might be a little stronger than the original...

Hi Dave

The answer to your question is the LDV mounts look like the same as the LT77 gearbox mounts, but until I had one side by side, I can't be 100%

Looks like an engine mount from an S.

44mm high 80mm diameter rubber bobbin. They have m10 threads though iirc.

Got mine from TVR Parts. About £10 each for Tvrcc members.
