Odd issue here.

I think the gearbox needs an oil change but aside from that the gear lever / linkage seems to be catching / drumming on something in 1, 2 and 3rd. If I hold the lever 'up' in these gears the drumming disappears.

Can't find info in the linkage bushes in the Bible.

Any ideas / advice?

If you pull the lever up you will effectively pull the spiral actuator for reverse, it might have become loose from its bracket and so causes the 'drumming' ?

It's the remote bushes. When they wear out it allows the back of the remote to sit on the gearbox output shaft. I had same issue on 390 so changed them a few weeks ago. Once the Wedge was on the ramps it only took 30 minutes. Watch your chin spoiler though on the ramps!

The bushes are available from Rimmers. What ever you do though, don't over-tighten the bolts in case you shear one off. Seriously bad news if you do.

Definitely sounds like the remote bushes. Not a difficult job just a pig to get to them.

Cheers guys. Superpro set identified on evil bay.

I'll double check on Rimmers too.
