Just do it from underneath - it's not that tricky.

Likewise I changed mine recently and wasn't technically difficult. It took around 40 minutes all in. I just used standard steel ramps, but watch your front spoiler!

I agree. Although mine took a while as the forwardmost mounts had 6 bushes (two being used as spacers). But I needed to reverse the order of them to allow the rearmost bolts to align. So that meant installing with just 4 bushes. Won't clamp down properly. Installing with 6 bushes in the same order they came off. Rear bolts wouldn't align. Installing with 6 bushes but in reverse order. Bingo, all lined up.

PArt of the annoyance and endering charm of TVR ownership.

I have after work today been investigating and discovered that in actual fact it is the whole remote unit that is loose. From looking at the pictures it must be the two fixing bolts at the front that hold it onto the main gearbox that have failed. Unfortunatly I didn't have time to get the car up on the ramps tonight to have a look although I have ordered the bushes.
