As I said, a meeting is worthwhile if all concerned attend in good faith, and all issues are discussed. Who do you think should attend?
Maybe we should put up a list for people to put their name down if they are willing to attend in good faith and able to hold a civil conversation. In my view it should include everyone that has been effected by this and want to resolve issues that are bothering them. It must of course include the main people at the centre of this dispute. Without naming any names, if they have or had any issues, be it the TVRCC, BBWF or anything else concerning the Wedge future, then they should put their name down and attend. If the list is short or people just don't bother, then it may not work, but at least we'll know who wants it resolved and who doesn't. If it all goes pear shaped then at least we've tried. I personally have had enough of all the bickering and name calling and trying to be the better man. I like owning a Wedge and I want to enjoy all aspects of it. Life is too short and I've just turned 60. Time waits for no man.

Guys if it helps I may be able to commander the Parc Ferme forum for a weekend! (I'd need to get clearance)

But what I suggest is to put all the members that want to try to resolve this, into the PF (off main forums) and you could thrash it out.

Now the PF forum is only visible to those members in it and the mods.

Thoughts? smile

I'm not sure an internet forum would be an appropriate media / venue as readers will impose their own 'tone' as to what is being said. Experience would suggest to me that, in this instance, the 'tone' is unlikely to be a positive one.

Thanks for the kind offer Big Al. My preference with this sort of thing would be a face to face meeting, as things can easily get misconstrued on fora (as we all know biggrin). Whether this actually happens of course is up to all concerned. Probably a case of watch this space.....

For what it's worth I don't see a 'wedge divide', I see a few people with personality clashes but I see that at work, in the pub, with my mates, in politics whistle
I guess I realised years ago that I don't need to be in any 'club', it's not like I have to be in one because I drive a Ford van or have an HTC phone or listen to REM... the enjoyment here is in the car, and what I do with it; I'll happily talk ballcocks about it with anyone who stands still for long enough but I don't get sand in my vagina if others feel differently.
If the failed Corporals want to assemble their committees and pass motions through the Chair then crack on, but maybe the membership application form should carry a warning that if you're a free-thinking individual you may soon get fed up.
As for the Fest, well I'm a follower rather than a leader so I'm hapy to leave any planning to others but I don't b1+ch and moan if Rachel Riley isn't there in just her best Victoria's Secrets to wash my car... [Mark: next year? biggrin]
I own a wedge and I am a member of the TVRCC UK but live in Germany. I find it quite amazing how these things apparently are very similar everywhere. Wed1e, I think your position is a healthy one and I can quite relate to it.
Hope you guys find a good solution. hippy

In my experience, mainly watching this stuff unfold, the online forum approach might not be a good idea, because the situations have been kicked off on the forum in the first place.

Quite often there's a misunderstanding because written forum communication isn't as clear-cut as it might be, and the usual to-and-fro dialogue between people to resolve such misunderstandings breaks down resulting in an escalation.

For my part I wouldn't mind attending, if you're all up for it, if only to help smooth the way.

I agree with Adam - if it's via a forum it may just keep going round and round. Face to face and a shake of the hands in my view is the way to go. As several on the forum I'm assuming will be at the TVRCC committee meeting at Gaydon on the 26th would it work to try and fit a Wedge meeting after or is that pushing things too much??

As a new (RED of course) Wedge owner (after 33yrs of waiting and trying) if people want a Rachel Riley type, why not involve the expertise of a true master ... MARTIN LILLEY, after all it was Martin who was responsible for the TVR WEDGE and he certainly has a past history and track record of attracting ladies to advertise, enhance and promote the TVR brand. bow

Might Martin be at the BBWF 2017 ..... Who knows ? and if he is, will his marketing and PR expertise be brought into being ? hehe

Only time will tell but I for one am looking forward to my first BBWF and once again shaking hands with MR TVR (in my humble opinion).

I have met many TVR owners of different models and have always found them to be accepting and enthusiastic about their own individual P & J.
As people have said .... life is too short, so for such a big year next year is it not possible that ALL TVR enthusiasts could possibly pull together, agree to disagree, move forward and have a great time. beer

Just think of those poor people in Aleppo.
