Thanks for the suggestions. There are a few holes in the bottom of the doors already so I don't think this the problem arises from water building up in there. The problem appears to be water getting between the the 'U' section of the door seal and the lip on the tub the seal clips on to. From here it runs down the inside of the seal and then runs out at the bottom where the seal clips over the sill. There lip just above the top door hinge looks suspect. Here the seal has to curve around the door frame and twist inwards at the same time.

The edge of the carpet will be held in place by the seal so will the water still wick up into the carpet?

New (and bloody expensive) door seals arrived today so hopefully they will solve the door leaks.

The leak onto the transmission tunnel appears to be from the bottom joint on the heater housing (right side). But how the hell is water getting in there? It's definitely rain water and not coolant.

It's now also decided the start leaking from half way up the tailgate seal.

This is driving me round the bend! weeping

No it didn't!

Next attempt was a rubber 'P' section stuck to the top of the scuttle.

This stops water running down the front of the bulkhead and channels it into the corners. On the right sifde I've fitted a little hopper to take the water away to try and reduce the standing water in the area under the washer bottle.

Only the door seal leaks to fix now with a new and more expensive type of seal which means I can finally start the re-trim.
