on my ford v6 powered tasmin the inner cable on the pedal side had a an eylet crimped on the end of the cable.
it was fixed by a bolts going through the eylet.
yours look differtn, maybe not original.
My 82 280i had the same...It slotted on to a thread which was attached to the curved piece above the pedal...I remember it being a 10mm nut as I used to carry a "Clutch cable repair kit" after whoever owned the car previously fitted a grub screwed version which would without fail snap every year around the same time....One of those jobs I never got round to.....on my ford v6 powered tasmin the inner cable on the pedal side had a an eylet crimped on the end of the cable.
