Alpha Omega, you appear to share the same member page as Penelope Stopit. Are you the same person? Just curious.

Anyway, for anyone wondering about the original question, yes you can use a simple ballast resistor like the one shown above to reduce your fan speed. The only issue is where you mount the resistor because it does get a bit hot wink.
Yes I am the same person, I changed my name to match my website
Alpha Omega. The beginning and the end. Wow. I'm guessing modesty is not a personality trait you suffer from smile

In the real world I am very modest, this isn't the real world and anything can and does happen here. That said, sharing my knowledge is something I enjoy, I am a great believer in sharing and my sharing is not about ego trips or anything the likes of. Don't get me wrong here, I know how I may come across as a proper **** at times when I challenge someones poor knowledge but I am also a great believer in correcting errors and stand to be corrected or educated as and when.
Sharing knowledge and modesty are not related in any way

Alpha Omega was one of a very limited number of joined words that ended in the letters ***ga*** and looked good to me, DOT ga (.ga) Domains are free and I like free. I am about to build a alphaome.ga website. Hopefully you now understand that my new name was only chosen to match my new website and is nothing more than that
Have a good day

No, you thought wrong. I am giving it a good go at sharing my knowledge with anyone that requires help in any way, I am addicted to drawing diagrams so I will always be throwing them in here
I am enjoying this TVR forum so much because there is a wide mix of very clever people that post here
