thumbup The multiple fb groups is sad, but will never change. PH is best ... apart from I always end up browsing the classifieds ...

Great to see more posts on here. I like FB but this was the original place for help and advice and it would be great to get it back to where it was.

I may have sold my wedge after 15 years of ownership but I still check ph just in case I could help someone, most of the time someone has beat me to the solution I had in mind.

Bloody hell Ian, I was only looking at your profile the other day trying to see when you last posted but got tired of the search.

Welcome back. I still refer to the wedge pages thumbup

How are you keeping?

Now then young man (I suspect most of us old-timers really ARE oldtimers now yikes)... I was actually looking for something else when the Duck (not Google) threw up a few hits that I just couldn't resist clicking. Then I saw this thread and a few old names (Messrs Stainless and Zig, Quantrill, even Dickymint!) and I had to throw in my £0.02-worth.

I never joined any of the FB groups, every once in a while I get emails from around the world through Wedgeneering (though I thought Wedgepages had been kaput for a good while?)... I see that despite quarter of a century of predictions Wedges have still failed to go up in price, shocking how little some have sold for in recent years. Also shocking is how much some ebay chancers ask for absolute basket cases.
Still, we wouldn't be into these cars if we thought they'd make us rich, would we rofl
Haven't done much to the 390SE or driven it more than a few hundred miles in the last 5 years or more - another 4 years and it'll be tax and MOT free. By then I should be retired...
How 'bout yourself?

Hey up Richard, how's things Uskward? I haven't been anywhere near south Wales in years, they closed the alloy wheel factory I used to visit... and St Athan is an industrial estate, I hear. Nearest I get is probably RAF Valley these days, not exactly round the corner.
Last I heard MikeB had your SEAC and you were off training to be a gas fitter, hope that worked out well for you? I've been in my job for 30 years now, probably a bit late to change.

Still posting in the middle of the night, as you see. Should hit the sack really, I'm off to Portsmouth in the morning... I thought by this age I'd be sat behind a desk giving out the work but as the youth of today go on the sick with mental health issues and RSI if you suggest they do anything that doesn't involve a bloody mobile phone I'm still out on the tools.
