Does anybody know what the first number this model was issued with and are they sequential for model or just car number off the production line?

I will have to research to find the first number, but the chassis numbers were not sequential. The 350i was built right along with the Tasmin 2.8 and 200 models so you will see them intertwined among the serial number listings.

I think also that chassis were allocated numbers but not actually built in any sort of order.

More so than you might realise. My Tasmin 200 has 'V8' written on the rear panel under the carpet in felt tip pen. I guess at one point the body was lined up to go on a V8 chassis/engine.

The first 350i was owned by Alasdair Macenzie from Scotland, dont know if he still has it, it was about ten years ago last time I saw him. It was finished in white, strangly with the boot carpeted in red. Reg No was YCK ???Y or YCK ??Y(from my failing memory) Hope this is of some help, if not you could try Richard Sails, the TVRCC I asume would keep their records.

Unfortunately, I'm not aware of a registry like what you have shown for ALL TVR models.
It would be nice if there was. I maintain one for the TVR Car Club North America but it is impossible to keep up with all the cars in the UK and elsewhere as well.

I (perhaps rather foolishly) will volenteer to put a "wegister" together of whatever details people want in it.

If any/everyones up for it, what do you reacon:

Year of manufacture
Reg
Chassis number (Have to be careful of this on a public forum)
Engine number and size (original or otherwise)
Interior colour
Optional extras
Non-standard biys of kit believed to be factory fitted

I'd be happy to go with the flow.

If it was restricted access with an account for each owner=user name and password=chassis number, or some such scheme then you would only have to trust your fellow Wedgers which would be good enough for me to upload my info. If you're not logged in you can just see a welcome screen or an anonymous list with minimal use but when you log on with your car's details you get to see More> Which lets you view the whole database and edit your bit.

Call me old Mr. Cynical, but it wouldn't take a genius to open a hotmail account and log in with a fictitious car, to get access to the real info...

Check out lamborghiniregistry (I love it there) . . . it takes some pics and proper history to get in there. Wedgistry should be the same kinda thing. And yes, it could take years before you're complete . . . good luck!
