Como - you have a way with words. Better than Shakespear, sometimes.

Get that throttle open!

Reassembling my 'new' lathe now I've sold the old one... just need to meet the buyer in the motorway services tomorrow and haul it out of my van and onto his trailer... cash in a brown paper bag, say no more, nudge, wink etc.

Now do I go for a single-to-3-phase inverter or swap the 3-ph motor for a HUGE single-phase jobbie...

What? Work on the car? Or the bikes? Can't see that happening. Well I might get round to fitting the topbox rack on the ST13... but then agan the weather is purported to be good, so maybe I'd best just ride the thing

Well, started off with a damm good clean and polish, applied new union jack style TVR chav-badges, applied coachlines all the way to the front reg plate where they belong, cleaned the dog sh*t off the carpet in drivers footwell, replaced 2 of the pedal rubbers, applied pistonheads badge to rear, cleaned the dog sh*t off the carpet in passengers footwell, reattached side repeaters.

Now only a couple of small jobs remaining and its happy hooning all summer.

I just refitted my front top wishbones with Powerflex bushes, and fitted the droplinks, and bolted on my "new" SE 16" Estorils.

Imagine my disappointment having done all that to jump in and find I'd left the ignition switched on and the battery flat! She's on charge now for a few hours, then back onto the Accumate overnight. Test drive will have to be tomorrow.

Who's a good bet for setting up the suspension in the Midlands? It's probably all over the place now.

Fitted a gorgeous Italian cherry wood and polished alloy steering wheel, much better than the Mountney one that I fitted 7 years back.
Next job is a new washer bottle.

Well I actually did some wedge stuff this w/e (after finishing off tarting up the Astra Estate to sell it).

* Converted the gearbox oil to SMX-S, I'll report on this later but it seems OK so far.

* Added a plenum pressure gauge so I can see my Supercharger boost (or lack thereof). This was done by using a spare vacuum reservoir take-off on the spare port in the middle (it's the same thread). It's interesting to see quite how much vacuum is in the plenum when the throttle is only part-open. Most of the time the engine runs at half an atmosphere!

Isn't that why it's called a throttle?

Been busy today .. I have 4 good days of weather to get the SEAC painted.. plan is to used the fist 2 days to get the prep done
and the third day to start the filler primer.

Who knows - many be I'll be in the pub on the 4th day but it's my spare day.

Then at least a week for the filler primer to go off / shrink.

1st day was today - got about 1/2 the prep done.. my fingers are already sore..
