Hmm,be able to drive at night, and use the heater ?
Lets just say that the Electric PAS pump has a downside - After one alternator belt literally burnt out and both Gates "powergrip" (It didn't) and a Continental replacement also slip under full load I'm looking at a more robust solution...

Hi Mark,

Label says 100A but part no suggests 125A, either way 30A up on the one I have !

Strange my EAS does not do this ..

I am running a Saxo pump. It's not mounted on the column like the later units..

I will check the load / revs when I turn the pump on off ..

Just reprogrammed the ECU with some new setting for the fuel and ignition .. just bringing some strange values at some load / speed sites in line.

Also adjusted the AFR gauge to match the ECU input so I can see accurate values on Emerald. Had to deviate from STD a bit as Emerald and AEM gauge did not exactly match. About 0.2 out .. trying to get it a bit closer so I can see what the AFR corrections on feed back mode look like.

Job for the weekend is the rear brakes yikes

First task is to remove pads and try and free up the stuck piston, if that fails its caliper removal time and a refresh.

I usually try and get a mole grip onto the pad backing plate and squeeze, most pistons usually yield to some pressure. Once you get the pad out you can push the piston out with the brake pedal (leave a lever under it though or an old pad backing with no material) then clean around the piston to free it up.

2nd March 2017.

The SEAC has been driven on the road.

OK - it was only 20 yards but it has been quite a few years.

Ordered a new st/st back pipe from JP, As it is 4 week lead time i am going to get the car up on stands and remove the old pipe ready, meanwhile checking all else underneath and probably do an oil change.
So that's it guys, get your cars ready because as soon as i put the jack under to do this, the weather will definitely change spring will arrive and the sun will come out.

Lots of tasks done on the TVR at the weekend:

Rear brakes : pads removed, pistons unseized and given a work out .. and reassembled. All now working.

Airbox assembled with very expensive nordlock washers.

Variety of little jobs like reconnecting the wiper motor.

Are they the two-piece safety locking washers with reversed locking wedges? What size?

Yep. That's them.

M5. Nearly £12 for 25 washers.

I had tried loctite which works well but leaves the thread very stiff for the new bolt to go into, so I hope these are a better solution.

Spent an hour last night tracing the two wires that power the washer pump. Found them in the end.
