What's happening in your garage this weekend ?
Discussion
This weekend i spent some time doing a service before the MOT next week!
Flushed and bled the Clutch and brake fluid.
Checked all of the nuts and bolts on the rear section which dad and i have finished rebuilding after the original bushes were swapped for superflex poly ones (very excited about driving with these!!!) and new rear brake disks, calipers and pads...so no more threads worrying about sticky brakes!
Changed the roller bearing where the steering column goes through the bulkhead to get rid of the play i used to have there....
Changed the oil and filter, topped up the diff oil and ordered new rubbers for the front anti roll bar today so thats next up on the list....
All in all, been a productive couple of weeks! Cant wait to MOT her and go for a blast!!!

Made some progress today - massive thanks for Beastie for lending a hand - plus the encouragement when you have to cut a purfectly good chassis..
Today - we made some subtle mods to the engine mounts - to possibly allow for bigger exhaust tubes. Every 1 inch counts.
Removed the Gearbox.
Moved the diagonal chassis cross chassis tube attachment from the gearbox mount tube back to the chassis tube (back around) 1.5 inches.
We also created another cross chassis tube behind the gearbox for
some additional strength - this is removeable.
At least it's all nice and clean under there now
What a day ...

Never mind all that - what shade of pink is it gonna be sprayed?
We managed to borrow a 2 Ton lift which has a long enough arm to reach the engine so out it came this Saturday, raised the front end as per Steve's suggestion to get the lift's legs under the wishbones.
The clutch plate looks used but with plenty of wear left, unfortunately there is some bluing and fine cracking on the flywheel. It also looks like the front gearbox seal may be leaking as there is a fair amount of sludge at the bottom rear of the bell housing. There was also a small amount of oil around the rear engine seal when the flywheel was removed.
An excuse to get a lightened flywheel maybe?

Well i got a hold of a Tig welder and some SS pipes and took the grinder to the Taimar ,
.....the end result is a rather nice shily exhaust for the Taimar and some burns for me minus a few silensers
Will got some pictures posted soon as to show off my good work.
And recovered from a magor vodka hang over

Thanks PWD95.
OK, let's see if this works. Over the past week, I've been having my garage re-outfitted so the TVR will be nice and comfortable and to reduce the risk of any clutter falling on or against the TVR. We must protect our loved ones, right?
Here's the link:
Wow, I just tried it and it worked! Isn't technology wonderful, when it works?
