It's that time of year chaps, long hot sunny days and light evenings are but a distant memory and thoughts on upgrades turn to action.
The season of freezing your backside off whilst fiddling with the Wedge is fast approaching!!!!

So post it here what you are all planning.

First upgrade for my old Wedge starts this weekend, the Postman very kindly delivered a heavy package today (just in time before the postal strike starts) containing a new set of Works Motorsport 4pot calipers, vented and grooved discs, braided lines and Red Stuff ceramic pads, first impressions are good, and can't believe how light the calipers are compared to the cast iron 2pots!

Once the brakes are done the next rounds will start;
Stage 2 heads and composite gaskets
Custom Piper cam, Vernier cam pullies and duplex chain
New oil pump and relief valve
John Eals injectors and Maf unit.
Adjustable ECU
Sprintex Supercharger
Intercooler

Should be interesting fitting that lot!

Well I'll be busy building the BBWRC.

Plus all the bits still left on the weekend thread.

Be interesting to see some pic's of the brake upgrade and prices as my friends want to do a upgrade.

Thanks
Leigh

Just driving, although the tin worm has found a nest and I need that sorted before I can do the filters etc (cheers TVRLeigh).

But, I had a thought on the ash tray. You used to be able to get plastic moulding kits. Had one as a kid and entombed insects and coins in clear plastic. I wonder if I can get a mould taken of mine and make suitably coloured tray to replace the BL brown crap and fit a bit of piano hinge type hingy thing with a bit oif brushed stainless to make a nice tidy flip top hidy box for mints or toe nail cuttings or something. You could just fit the lid to the existing one but its not as much fun.

I know its not up there with the idea's above so far but its a start.

Rumour has it, you will need a 24v starter motor off a Landy 101 just to turn it over!!!

Got new suspension bushes for mine. Of course it won't be quite THAT simple. First off I need to stop the PAS fluid leak or the new bushes will go the way of the old ones.
Then I need to crack on with the cruise control; it's almost sorted bar the speedo transducer. Wedging in Brown's Britain is going to need a featherweight foot.

Replacing the 'bodged' wiring in the engine bay.

Attending to the rad as I found it's not anchored at the top last weekend... eek

Time permitting (our first baby is due on the 4th Jan!), I'll be fitting a FR cam and matching the ports on the intake.

But this weekend, the forecast is fine, so I shall be having a hoon to run through the injector cleaner I put in yesterday smile

More a tongue in cheek comment after trying to find out how from the web. If it does the job and all that.

CF does sound easier than messing with plastic but the lid in me idea is still firmly brushed ally either way. Think it would look better. Though about a bit of walnut but it doesn't fit the picture for some reason. Door openers need thinking about as well. Cross the other bridge first.

Machined from solid billet, that's the way to go. I have some depleted Uranium blocks if you want to stick with TVR tradition and use an unusual material... hehe

You could make the base from CF, and then make the slider out off a piece of Ali.

More of a flip top idea. Still looking on the web for how to work CF. Found plenty of shiny knobs.

Ha! Waiting for that......wink

Last time I was serious about metal bashing was in skool init. Then it was a chuffing great machine that used we used to mangle stuff on. Still have my ice axe somewhere, didn't understand at the time why it was daft to make it all out of steel. Nice head though.

Hmmmph....all we got to make was a depth gauge, and a fat lot of use it was too! The teacher forgot to send them away to get the measurement scale etched on!frown

Thinking about it, we made a lot of thumping tools like four pound lump hammers and sharp bits like screw drivers, so sharp you could shave off a gnats arse without it realising......

Never did get around to guns....
