Before anyone chastises me and says that this should be in the classifieds, let me say that I'm putting this message here for expediency.

100 yds up the road or so from me is a tidy 1985 red FHC which has been up for sale for a few months and the poor girl selling it has been plagued with time wasters etc. She is now getting so desparate to sell it (she's working abroad soon) that she has approached some local used sports car (non-TVR) specialists who have offered to take it off her hands but at insulting money.

Now it's not the greatest wedge that ever drove the Dorset roads, but it ain't bad either. It's had new clutch & brakes in past 6-12 months and has a reasonably tidy body with the usual cracks around the headlamp mounts etc. Interior is okay although it propbably needs re-carpetting. Underbonnet looks scruffy as someone has glued what looks like carpet unederlay all around the wheel arches presumably for soundproofing. It's probably too nice to make into a race car but it would cost too much to really turn it into a head turning concours car. Ultimately it would make a good starter TVR for someone. It's a completely driveable, usable everyday TVR and I know she'd take about £2250, maybe less. I'd buy it but Mrs D would kill me if a suggested a 3rd wedge.

Anyone interested? Either reply to this or drop me an email and I'll put you in contact. But be quick, she's talking about selling out to the back street sharks by Thursday!

To Garry M who replied to me regarding this by email - every time I try to reply to your email it keeps coming back as delivery failed. Do you have an alternative address to which I can reply?
