The tyre squeal was almost louder than the exhaust roar!

You only get a brief glimpse of it on the film, but the driver of the tin-top coming down the hill probably wondered whether he should have made his will before he left home.

Looked even better from the outside.

One who was there!

no picture, no sound, you'll just have to do a replay on Thursday Rev.

Cheers Al.

Perhaps the camera wasn't tied down properly, 'cos the nice view seems to be all over the place

I have no problem downloading it..

Yes - it was very sideways.. strange I never even
thought of using the brakes.. just more revs !

I thought the camera man (bassfiend) did a bloody
good job of keeping the camera steady.

Yweety - sorry can't make Thursdays meet as I'm
out of the country (again!).

If anyone is interested - Luca Brassi's 'Surrey run 4'
in now available on dvd (www.sleepy-fish.com)
and it is superb... 1 hour of the finest motoring money
can buy and a superb soundtrack.

Get broadband , a few seconds downloading and I watched it from the inside (as opposed to the outside last night).

I find that in general it is better to download movies (etc) and play them from disk than to play them on-line.

What a great noise! I gotta get me one of those!
That's the only problem having a 280i - you just don't get the same noise!

Sorry it was so big guys ... it was my first bit of video encoding!

Dontcha just love wedges though?

Tel you what rev ... if you're up for a rerun I promise I'll get the camera held steadier ... in fact I might even buy a windscreen mount just for the "event".

A lot of recent vids taken by various people / cameras and indeed the conversion software used means that to view them you need to update your windows media player to version 9 - or just update the codecs in your existing version.

Nice little vid. Good sounds!

Jonres - why not update it.. guy turned up
at the Surrey meet in an S4c with a
cosworth V6 (24 valve).

It was a nice fit.

He had peninsular fit it.

Just needed a new set of tubular exhausts and
a reverse running alternator.

Put's out 220 bhp at the wheels.

Nice.

girlfriend to show her what she missed... she was
not impressed.

Excellent !

Mmmmm....tempting! Unfortunately I've just spend my life savings getting this one up and running - maybe next year, when my bank manager's forgotten about this year!

Incidentally, I used Topcats Racing in Aylesbury, and they did a blummin' good job too - too I actually drove for 3 hours at the weekend and nothing broke or fell off - a first time for everything!. Judging by the race-prepared Tuscans and Marcos' littering the place I guess it might be worth having a word with them too - maybe a straight engine swap with the Tuscan?! Probably result in the engine and bodywork parting company at great speads, but it would be entertaining for all of 5 seconds or so!
