Right, so many TVR Wedge owners are comming out of the woodwork in Hampshire / Berkshire.
Anyone Fancy a meet before driving conditions get too interesting?

Would you open this up to a few other local TVRs? If so I might come along in the Chimaera and, you never know, whatever and Zee might bring their Cerb,S respectively?

If you want to keep things Wedge that's OK but I'd enjoy seeing your beasts...

I'd probably be interested depending on timings. I only get every other sunday off.

Perhaps a Sunday morning drive to end at a pub for a bite of nosh/just a drink and a chat and then off home? Once a month my Sunday is totally occupied by the IAM (Every Second Sunday) so its a no-can-do but other Sundays I can do...

I'm game for a meet. Reasonably flexible. Let me know when.

OK let's go for it. How about Sunday 16th. Does anyone know of a good pub? I'm a bit too far north (Wallingford area) to suggest anything around here, but Basingstoke area sounds fine.

Pub with a decent car park and food is the The Millstone / Barton's Mill in Lychpit/Old Basing. THere are tables outside so one can freeze and admire the cars...

Easier to find is the Wheatsheaf on the A30. Also has decent car park and food...tables outside are not so good...

Either one would do me...and, like I say, are other Tivs allowed?

We used to meet at the Wheatsheaf, but I moved the meeting to the Hen and Chicken because the car park, on a thursday, was always full. Anyway details are still up on the OLD Site

I'm starting to draw up a list of pubs to base meeting on next year. This would be the last Sunday of the month. Ideas near Basingstoke welcome - so I might nick yours Don for Feb.

Cheers

Want to do a scenic drive in Feb? I have one around there. I'll post next week - does anyone fancy a scenic drive on the 16th prior to the Wheatsheaf?

Oh yes. I'm off to BTaP ina few minutes so I can't outline the route now but (if I get a pass out from the Mrs) I'd be happy to lead a few of us around some rather fine stretches of B-road....

Right Chaps.

Next Sunday is the 16th November and we are going to meet at the Wheatsheaf for a nose at your Wedges and our Wedge friends have confirmed that local Tivs of other descriptions are welcome.

I've offered a "scenic" drive. I just need to sort out how to make one of my routes end up at the Wheatsheaf and I'll post it up with a start point and time...

Can I suggest that since the Wheatsheaf is a busy pub we aim to get there early(ish) say by noon. This would entail going for a drive a bit earlier - say at 11:00am.

Who's up for a drive? Who's coming to the pub?

The Hayling Island Beast is now running again, (Fuel pipes replaced and not even a faint odour of petrol!!!)

Blast to Basingstoke sounded like a great idea until the wife informed me that her family are coming to see us (I think this makes it sound an even better idea) However, she does not agree.

Let me know next time.
