The SEAC
Can't justify £10k's worth of motor sat doing nothing with the racer sat next to it and the need to put a deposit on a new abode.
Guess the crunch will come when/if someone calls/views it - it wouldn't be the first time I couldn't bring myself to sell a car (still got my 1982 Audi Quattro) is there much difference to a tr7

Mate of mine came a visiting the other week in his TR8 (well TR7 with an RV8). Car was a shed - weld on weld on weld - engine was bloo*y good though & had cost him about £6k - he was windging that the car was only worth £1.5k all up - nuff said.
I've got two dealers (i.e. main TVR dealers)asking about the car - that worries me (wouldn't mind if it was guys like sTeVe.R) - is it too cheap. £10k plus fix the few minor bits for say 500-1000 then would it be on the forecourt for £teens in the spring??

I dont think it is that cheap. Maybe £1000 or £2000 with the bits done. It would be nice to keep it in the PH family tho - no dealers!

I am sorely tempted myself but I dont have a garage and I dont think I could bring myself to keep her outside - even with a cover

Out of interest what minor bits need attention - it looks a minter from the photos...

Does that mean I can no longer be part of the "family"???

Looks like the SEAC's staying -
A few folks were seriously interested.
Martin wanted a mint car so he bought Steve Reids 450SE as I suggested would be a good move and Andy had a stunning 400 but wanted more grunt so I suggested he go for a 4.6 lump which I think he has - good man. I had a few dreamers and a few that felt the gap in the history with the original owner was disconcerting. I had one person complaining about the paint job as lumpy and wouldn't accept it was due to it being a Kevlar body. Did meet some nice Wedge folks who wanted to upgrade either in person, on the mail or over the phone, though.
TVRCC sprint championship it'll be then?
