Wedge Meetings

Hey Rev -

Maybe what that chap Montegnot suggested - a meet in the Bedfordshire area - is quite a good idea. It is suitably central. I wonder whether the estate / staff at Shuttleworth House / College would allow us to meet in the grounds - daft idea perhaps? The college does have a bar and some sort of restaurant facilities I believe.

But there are plenty of country pubs around that area with good parking I think.

I could then pay a visit to Ashwell on the same day and put some flowers on the family grave and visit an old haunt or two. Hey, the Bushell and Strike has a large car park and Wells beer! We could even line the streets with Wedges!

However, Buckinghamshire is where I originally sprouted from and it is always good to see the area again. Hopefully someone can put forward a venue sometime soon and we can all agree!

Don't forget all Wedges welcome this Sunday 14 December at the Mid Essex TVRCC meet at great Totham - short run up the A12 and then some country lanes.

Oddly enough I too keep on thinking of more power. Are we all lunatics?

If you haven't grabbed a map, Shefford is between the M1 & A1 just north of Hitchin.
Shuttleworth have become a bit money grabbing at the flying days at least, so pubs are a better bet really.

Rev-erend - it seems like you've got the same problem as I had when trying to get Wedges together. It looks like you've had a better response; but who can say where you're all going to meet! I suggest you nominate a place and stick to it.

Anyone for small-medium-large-as big or small as you like Wedge gathering at Finchingfield near Braintree? I believe some Pistonheads meet here from time to time. Theres a pub, a pond if you want a paddle or to feed the ducks, and a large village green with roads to park in/around. Stansted airport is nearby if you're flying in from abroad or if you have to fly out to escape plod!!!

Any Saturday or Sunday you like except this weekend when it is the TVRCC Mid Essex meet at Great Totham.

Still hope to go to the Feb Big Wedge gathering when you can decide on a venue!

Well - only just made it to the MId Essex TVRCC meet at Great Totham yesterday (Sunday). Sad to hear only one other Wedge turned up.
