All's going really well with the update of my Wedge.............until.........I called Tower View this week to order an updated brake kit and roll cage/bar.
Brakes are on 2 month lead time (at least) and roll bar is 6 weeks.
I've just started to strip out the front suspension to fit new coils/shox/bushes/drop links and want to do the brakes while I'm there. Also want to do all the fitting of roll bar before new carpets and interior go in. This now holds up my plans completely as I wanted to get everything finished, and tested, for Le Mans and BBWF

So, does anyone know anywhere else I can source an uprated brake system (mine are standard at the mo) and a Roll bar (I don't want to lose my head if she flips!!)

We have HiSpec brakes on our 400SE, I suspect that is what Towerview supply though. What brakes have you got on yours already? The 4 pot APs with vented disks work pretty well, the sliding caliper jobbies work OK too, just not so many times before they overheat.

Have been trying for nearly a year to get AP, none available! I've currently got standard Cortina which are cr*p, considering I'm looking at a 300+BHP engine!

Hallo Guys,

Due to the fact the original 400 SE disc are no langer available ( or very expensive to make out of "blanks") I had a AP kit made up with 295 x 28 disc bij leading britisch AP agent. They made a special bracket so you can still use he origanal AP/Princess caliper. For even better brakeperformance I had also had a bracket made to use the AP 5200 4 pot caliper. Both set-ups will fit within the standard 400 SE 15 inch OZ wheel. I went to other wheels so put even bigger brakes on. See photo with princes set-up trail fitted. So these are surplus now.I hope the pasting worked out.

Hallo,

No it is not the 4 stud kit,as seen clearly on the picture. This kit is made for the Granada 5 stud hub with threaded disc/bell.

greetings
Hans.

I'm sure with that kit, you cant run the 15" OZ wheels. If it's the same as I have on my racer.

That is the kit we have, never had them fade even with the ebc greens, though the rears do start to smoke eventually wink
