Looking for some new plugs for the 400se following rebuild, and went to get some of the usual NGK B7ECS, but my man at the motor factors is urging me to try the new CHAMPION EON range.
He says their EON 5 plug will suit the 400, and will resist electrode erosion under heavy use and stay sharp much longer than the NGKs

Any one here got any experience of this? Are EONs better than NGKs or is he talking bollocks?

hi, i use NGK R racing plugs in my fiesta hillclimb car. it's pretty highly tuned but these plugs are pretty ace. not that cheap but pretty good. good for high temperatures too and put up with the car losing all its coolant so guess high temps are fine for them

just confusing you further I bet!

I have the NGK jobbies and they are fine. What's the price like?

About the same as the NGKs, maybe a touch more (about 4 - 5 quid each)

The blurb says they will last 36k miles though.

I see. My motor is on its 3rd set in 16,000. Mind you, until my starting problem I didn't realise there was more to the plugs and the way they work as there is.
