Found this, is it a bargain or a lot of work? Reg number must be a good buy??http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2451904350&category=2192

Looks like a lot of work to make into a street car. I wonder how long ago it was flooded and how high? And how long since it was running? And whether the seller has all the remove bits and how many miles it has anyway? But for a race car the above shouldn't matter.

I would think you are correct about the TVR license plate.

trouble is if your after the reg you'll need to get the car mot'd and taxed before you can transfer it..

although from the picks it doesnt look like its impossible

Didn't know about that - we can't trade them here at all. How does that work for the companies that advertise loads of plates?

you can transfer a plate of a vehicle ( which must have been taxed within the last 12 months ect) on to a retention certificate. this can then be transfered to a car at a later date. thats what the plate firms do. you can also buy an unissued number straight on to a retention cert.

so if you have car with an intereting number that it might be difficult to re mot and tax its best to transfer the plate to a retention cert.

I know one chap that had to spen 5k on an old landrover to get it through an mot so he could transfer the reg...

much easier in the states i hear....
