New Hood needed

[my 350i]

I guess this has been asked many times before but anyhow, can anyone recommend a supplier for a new wedge hood in the south east ? or someone to fit only if I go mail order ? Carhood warehouse just quoted me £920 fitted, I didnt answer, just put the phone down.
Has anyone fitted their own and what sort of job is it likely to be ?

There £280 all in doesnt include the vat, postage and fitting, the recommended fitter says £200. All in total then of £580, not so bad.
Anybody used autohoods and knows what the quality is like though ?

£500 - £700 was the prices I got when I shopped around - still havent done it yet though

They are in Chessington - not far from you .. so pop up and check them out... if you do use them - let us know what they are like.

I was quoted £350 to remove, re-cover and fit a Chimeara rear section one a couple of years ago by a midlands Tiv specialist - won't name them as they 'sha**ed' me on another deal - however if they can do it the likes of Peninsula or Tower View should do this at sensible money.
It's not a big job to fit the hood yourself and then the covering of the lot should be around £350.

Echo Tas re Peninsula - they arranged a complete replacement hood for mine for around £500ish..
