Hi Gareth , he's gone to bed . Thats the first time someone has wound me up on here. Thought i might get the "sin bin"but i'm not having anyone slag Wedges off on our forum.
How your car doing?

Hi Steve,
I don't understand why someone would bother comming on to a wedge forum to slag off the cars? It's never going to go down well. I think you saw him off well.
My cars still comming along, it is taking a lot longer than I thought. I was sent on a project management course through work last year but that doesn't seem to have made much of a difference, although atleast I can identify I am suffereng from scope creep and massive budget overspend now though!
GF
p.s. I still want to know what a 'dog transporter' is though. It's probably me being thick again, but I saw a great dane last month and it was quite big, but still not as big as say, a horse. I would say even one of those would not really require a specific transorter, especially one big enough to get a car into.

Hey!

And I thought it was just some friendly mutual teasing! Better not show Bomber any pics of my car - he'll go into overdrive! And Steve will probably die of apoplexy seeing his replies. BUT - he did say he had owned 7 (was that right?) Wedges, so he must be a real enthusiast.

And of course he will realise that it is the Wedges that got TVR to where it is now.

I'll supply the handbags!

Bomber My Sweet, Darling, Dearest,

There is an old saying - which several seem to have missed.

It goes like this:-

"When you find yourself in a hole - stop digging!"

There! On the other hand, if you want to keep this thread going...........

Isn't it just the bestest good fun thread we've seen on here? Yeah!

I'm just wondering if we can change the Big Southern Wedge Meeting to somewhere a bit more UK central - make it a sort of UK Wedge Meet for us ALL to meet up at and exchange views!

Gotta go look for wooden spoon.
(All I wanted to know was how do you close a topic!)

No thanks Alan, getting too old. Got my old man's cars now and am happy. Closest I think I will ever come to really wanting one is many years ago when a magazine did an article on a SEAC racer and my old Griff 400.
But they were way beyond the reach of bank balance then!!

I'll think you will find its the "S" that put TVR back on the road to recovery

The poor man's Griffith .. no, no, no, ... it was the Wedge that got TVR a hugh reputation for performance..

The S is just a foot note in TVR history...

Aren't you on the wrong forum !

Bomber, were you at the Raby Castle do last summer (SEAC, Pantera etc.)?
Your description of yourself seems to ring a bell. I was talking to a guy ('of mature years' )there about Wedges and remember him saying he'd had several....

Ian, i think you are talking about John Rutter, he owns a De Tomaso and a 420 SEAC.

I think you will find TVR lost the plot after the Wedge and went into massed produced cars , abit like Ford , thats when they came up with the Griff , a cheap car that most people could afford
Just my opinion of course

It might well have given TVR its reputation, but if there was no "S" then TVR would have gone bust Then the Griff would never have come to life
